An American Masterpiece is in the Making
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will present exceptional art, educational programs and community gatherings in a unique and welcoming setting. Visitors will view masterworks of American art ranging from the colonial era to contemporary work in a series of glass and wood pavilions designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. Nestled around two creek-fed ponds, the building complex will include state-of-the-art galleries, meeting and classroom spaces, a research library and a large auditorium. A series of sculpture and walking trails will link the museum’s lush 100-acre park and gardens to downtown Bentonville, Arkansas.
To view the work-in-progress, visit the Crystal Bridges Trail, a 1.5-mile-long pedestrian bike trail accessible from Compton Gardens. An observation deck midway along the trail offers a birds-eye-view of the museum construction site.
